Bicycle Day is taken from Plastic Inevitable's first album, Silver Dreams, released in 2011. We wanted to make a psychedelic song with elements of jazz that would transition into our more traditional garage rock sound. After the instrumental track was completed, we came up with the concept to write a song about bicycle day, keeping within our 60's, beats inspired theme. The lyrics were based on bicycle day facts found on Wikipedia. Noa improvised with the lyrics over multiple takes. This song completed what would be our first single released in 2010 consisting of "Further," "Howler Monkey," and "Bicycle Day" along with the instrumentals to "Further" and "Bicycle Day." The song was recorded using lots of pedals, GarageBand, and multiple tracks. The music video was made by the Couch King in his trademark video sampling style and is their 9th music video made. Plastic Inevitable is Sneekie San Salvador and Marty Procaccio, AKA Blankets (soundcloud.com/allergeist). Bicycle Day was mastered by efence (soundcloud.com/efence). This song features Noa on vocals. In case you didn't know, "Bicycle Day" is a song about Bicycle Day.
